Obedience & Waterfowl Trainer

Mitch’s passion for hunting began at a very young age. As his love for waterfowl hunting and dog training grew, he apprenticed under the renowned John Johnston of Kinross Kennels. Through this mentorship, Mitch gained invaluable knowledge and experience, allowing him to carry on and offer the same proven style of training in John’s memory.

Today, Mitch specializes in producing dogs that perform in the field with confidence, steadiness, and consistent success.

Katie Punches
Obedience & Shed trainer

Growing up, Katie always had a deep love for animals, with a particular passion for training. When she and Mitch began dating, that passion evolved into a dream of owning and operating her own kennel—a place where she could focus on high-quality training while offering obedience and shed hunting programs to fellow dog owners.

Shed hunting is a fast‑growing sport where any breed can compete. With scent training and positive reinforcement, it’s a family-friendly activity.

With a bachelor’s degree in Reproductive Sciences, breeding and producing exceptional offspring with superior genetics has always gone hand in hand with Katie’s passion. She has consistently proven her ability to produce outstanding litters through comprehensive genetic testing, careful selection, and a commitment to preserving and improving true Irish British Labrador lines.

Everything at Flight Cancelled Kennels is a family effort. Chores like changing whelping bedding and exercising boarders are shared and done with care. Tanner and Sawyer are always nearby, helping and playing a vital role in our boarding business—reflecting the love, dedication, and family values that guide our kennel.
